Become a Yoga Teacher

The UK Yoga Collective’s 200hr vinyasa flow foundational teacher training programme gives students a theoretical and practical foundation from which to share their practice with others, while developing their own unique voice as teachers. The course is suitable for committed yoga students who want to deepen their practice, develop their spiritual and philosophical understanding and learn to confidently deliver clear, inclusive and transformative yoga classes.

Over 200 Hours of Learning

UKYC’s training meets and exceeds the requirements set by YogaAlliance US for teaching across the four key competencies: Teaching, Techniques and Practice; Yoga Philosophy; Anatomy and Physiology; and Professional Essentials. Our programme offers closer to 220 hours of learning to ensure that the most important concepts are introduced and reinforced through formal lectures and contact with primary sources, interactions with your peer group, and practical application.

Emphasis on Personal Attention

Yoga teacher training is a powerful and transformative experience, and as such it’s important for every student to have adequate personal attention. Class sizes are capped at twenty people, and there will often be two facilitators in the space to ensure that each student receives the attention and support they need. Students will receive a minimum of three hours of individual mentoring with a course leader to guide their learning, answer questions and address any concerns and support each student’s individual journey.

Built From Experience

Course leaders have a minimum E-RYT 500 qualification with YogaAlliance, meaning they’ve been taught a minimum of 2,000 hours over at least four years. Lucinda and Joshua have a combined experience of over a decade of yoga teacher training across several schools, providing you with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Gain an Internationally Recognised Qualification

Your 200-hour certificate with YogaAlliance US is recognised around the world. So whether your dream is to build a full schedule across studios in London, run retreats abroad and take your yogis on holiday, or somewhere in between, your training and experience will be recognised.

She first travelled to India to study in 2003 and has returned numerous times since to deepen her understanding of yoga and fulfil her passion for the practice and the country. In 2010 she completed her yoga teacher training and has led yoga teacher trainings since 2016 for YogaLondon.
